International Logistics Transformation

A large US internet retailer approached DCS for assistance in streamlining their international and domestic logistics and supply chain. Their new approach to deliver direct to consumer on an international level was unique to their business and they needed help.


We analysed the current state of logistics, defined the complex set of requirements for their new business and logistics direction and developed a program that would transform the logistics and supply chain function within the business.


The client realised immediate gains in productivity and over the complete 12 month program, experienced exponential growth in their business and their bottom line. Since then, DCS has been their preferred consultants for all business, technology, and program management efforts.


Office Relocation

Under new leadership, a fledgling healthcare services provider realized the need to relocate its Canadian Head Office operations from a suburban location to a new location within a major city centre. This complex endeavor was a challenge for the new Executive team and would have taken precious time away from the focus of reviving the struggling business. They decided to contact DCS to manage their relocation efforts.


We were able to plan all logistics, technology, telephone, communications (internal, vendor and key client), procurement, marketing, construction, human resources and risk. As if that was not challenging enough, we delivered the project on a truncated timeline while realizing a savings of more than 20% of overall costs.


The client was so impressed that they now seek the advice and guidance of DCS prior to the initiation of any project they pursue.


Business Relocation

Not shying away from any challenge, DCS really had to be creative when it was approached by an Event Planning company to relocate their operation. Timing was the vital issue, as the business could not afford any interruption to ongoing business activities during their busiest months of the year.


We were able to assess the project risks and develop a contingency plan to account for the business need.


Not only was the project a huge success, the client subsequently engaged DCS to provide consultation on corollary business functions including the management of twenty-eight large and complex event projects, including scope development with major stakeholders, project planning, work breakdown and schedule development, coordinating logistics, hiring and managing staff and sourcing third party vendors, negotiating contracts, managing project budgets and closing processes.


We were also able to successfully completed a project for expansion of core business through cross-selling services with new service partners thereby increasing overall profitability by more than 300%.
